Can I enter Syria with an Israeli stamp in my passport?
Dutch passport. I crossed Taba years ago and there is still an Egyptian stamp that basically says so. No Israeli visa page, but the trail is obvious if anyone looks.
I can get a second Dutch booklet if I start now. That takes weeks. I do not want to spend that if Damascus no longer cares.
Is this still a hard no in 2026, or only if it is an actual Israeli stamp?

Still a hard no. Israeli nationality is barred. A passport that shows travel to Israel is usually refused — an Israeli visa, an entry or exit stamp, or the obvious trail through Taba, Sinai, or the Jordan crossings that sit on that border. GOV.UK, the US advisory, and the 2026 operator notes all say the same thing. The caretaker authorities have not lifted it.
Israel often gives a card instead of a stamp. That does not make this desk safe. Some tables also treat certain Egyptian or Jordanian stamps from Israel-facing posts as evidence. If that is in the booklet you will hand over, expect to be turned away.
A second Dutch passport, if your country will issue one for this, is the packing. Do not test the window. Do not enter Syria from Israel. I will not tell you to hide a stamp.
