Bosra

Quarter

Old city

Basalt lanes around the theatre. After the seats, the neighbourhood — not a monument list. A mosque if it is open: modest dress; confirm at the door. The streets are a town. Ruin doors may share the castle hours. No second ticket for the lanes. You do not need a tour. Checked 13 September 2026.

Black-basalt street in the old city of Bosra
Hours
The streets are a town. They are always there. Ruin doors may share the theatre hours — operator 2026 lists about 09:00–17:00. An older local page split summer into two windows. Confirm the ruin doors. A mosque, if it is open: confirm at that door. There is no visitor timetable for the quarter.
Ticket
The streets have no ticket. Ruin doors may share the castle gate — same ticket in operator notes, not a second fee. The January 2026 antiquities list names the theatre, not these lanes. An older local page said you pay once at that gate; its 150-pound figure is not 2026. Confirm if they stop you at a ruin door.
Respect
It is a neighbourhood. Modest dress if a mosque door is open — scarf from the bag; shoes if they say so. Confirm at that door. Do not treat courtyards as a set. You do not need a tour to walk the lanes. You do not need a monument list.
