Roman Theatre
The Bosra Roman theatre is the black-basalt seats at Bosra al-Sham — a south morning from Damascus, not a stop on the week north. Cash pounds at the citadel gate. Later walls around it; you walk through them to get in. Steep stairs. Operator 2026: 45 to 75 minutes. You do not need a tour. Checked 13 September 2026.

- Hours
- Hours still disagree in 2026: operator lists about 09:00–17:00 daily. An older Arabic city page split summer into two windows — about 10:00–11:00 and 16:00–19:00 — and winter 10:00–16:00. Those lists do not mark Tuesday closed. Confirm at the citadel gate.
- Ticket
- Cash pounds at the citadel gate. The January 2026 DGAM schedule, as that operator published it, put this theatre in the first-grade band — the same named list as Krak. Operator sheets still print 100,000 and call that a few dollars; they mix old and new. An old local page still lists 150 pounds; that is not 2026. Ask new or old. Do not convert it to dollars. Confirm at the gate.
- Respect
- Steep stairs, some with no easy rail. Staff can point to an easier way onto the stage. Do not treat the seats as a set. Do not shout tests of the acoustics over people sitting there.
