Cover up, shoes off. The Khalid ibn al-Walid Mosque in Homs is a working mosque: twin minarets, a shrine. This is the evening if you arrive from Damascus or Maaloula. - Working mosque. Operator 2026: daytime; observe prayer. Other visitor pages say first morning prayer to last evening prayer, or early morning until late evening. There is no visitor timetable. Friday the courtyard is for worship first — do not treat Friday noon as a sightseeing slot. Confirm at the door.

- Muslims enter to pray. Visitors: usually none in 2026 operator notes. The January 2026 antiquities fee list, as that operator published it, does not include this mosque. Other pages say free. Carry pounds if they ask. Confirm at the door.

- Cover shoulders and knees. Women: a scarf of your own, or the robe at the door if they hand one — bring the scarf. Men: no shorts. Shoes off. Do not photograph people at prayer without asking. Friday is for worship first. You do not need a guide to dress or to enter.
