Roman Theatre
The Palmyra theatre is the small Roman theatre on the Great Colonnade — a short stop after the columns, not a show, not Bosra. Walk in if they open it. Student groups and foreign visitors were here in 2026. You do not need a tour. Checked 13 September 2026.
- Hours
- Same daylight as the colonnade — there is no theatre timetable. Hours still disagree in 2026: operator lists sunrise to sunset in the sectors they open. Wikivoyage in December 2025 said the stones were open around the clock. Walk in daylight. Confirm at the edge of the site. Last seats back are on the Palmyra page, not a timetable here.
- Ticket
- Same as the colonnade. There is no separate theatre ticket. DGAM’s 2026 fee circular listed Palmyra among sites with no gate fee for now. Wikivoyage in December 2025 said the same. Confirm at the edge. Cash pounds if they have started collecting. Ask new or old.
- Respect
- Sit if they let you. Do not stage the seats. It is a short stop on the colonnade walk, not a show. If they rope it, keep walking.
