Khan
Khan As’ad Pasha
Cash pounds, often closed Tuesday — confirm at the door. Khan As’ad Pasha is the caravanserai on the spice souq: striped stone and domes. Upper floor if it is open. Azem Palace is a different ticket, not this band. Skip the khan if Tuesday. You do not need a tour. Checked 13 September 2026.

- Hours
- Hours still disagree in 2026: operator lists 09:00–15:30, often closed Tuesday. A visitor list has 08:00–15:00 and marks Friday and Saturday closed, not Tuesday. Other pages 09:00–16:00, or daytime every day, and do not mark Tuesday. One older listing says Friday closed; another Sunday to Thursday only. Confirm at the door.
- Ticket
- Cash pounds. The January 2026 antiquities fee list, as that operator published it, names this khan second-grade — not the first-grade band of Azem Palace and the National Museum. One 2026 operator sheet prints 50,000 and calls that a few dollars; they still mix old and new. A visitor list prints 5,000 SYP (50 new). Independent notes put museum tickets in the few-dollars range; other visitor pages say a small fee. Ask new or old. Confirm at the door.
- Respect
- Domes and striped stone. Upper floor if they open it. Visitor pages allow photographs — follow staff. Modest indoors. Do not treat the khan as a set. You do not need a tour.
