West of the old city, not a walk from the mosque. Taxi or YallaGo. Confirm the closed day before you cross town — reports still fight Friday versus Tuesday. Palmyra and Ugarit rooms if they are open; walk what they open. Skip it if you only have one day inside the walls. You do not need a tour. - Hours still disagree in 2026: one operator list says about 09:00–18:00 in summer, 09:00–15:00 in winter, closed Friday. A September 2026 independent note and a visitor guide say closed Tuesday; that guide lists 09:00–17:00. Other pages 09:00–16:00, or Sunday to Thursday 09:00–16:00 and Friday closed. Confirm the closed day before you cross town.

- Cash pounds at the door. First-grade DGAM band from January 2026 — the January list, as one operator published it, names this museum with Azem Palace. That operator still prints 100,000 and calls it a few dollars; they mix old and new. Independent notes sit in the few-dollars range. Ask new or old. Confirm at the door.

- Ask at the desk about cameras. One 2026 operator list forbids interior photos; other visitor pages allow photos without flash. Rooms may be closed; walk what they open.
